Figure 2F-9. Examples of Toll Plaza Canopy Signs

This figure shows examples of toll plaza canopy signs.

The first example is labeled "Attended Lane with an Optional M4-17 Toll Collector Symbol." It shows a horizontal rectangular green sign with a white border and legend. It shows a square M4-17 toll collector symbol on the first line, the words "CASH - CHANGE" on the middle line, and the word "RECEIPTS" on the bottom line.

The second example is labeled "Exact Change or ETC Account Lane with an Optional M4-18 Exact Change Symbol." It shows a square green sign with a white border and legend. It shows a square M4-18 exact change symbol to the left of the words "EXACT CHANGE 75¢" on three lines above the word "OR" to the left of a purple Toll Pass symbol, which is above the words "NO TRUCKS" in black shown on a horizontal white rectangle. A note states: "The pictograph for the toll facility's adopted ETC system shall be used."

The third example is labeled "ETC Account-Only Lane." It shows a horizontal rectangular purple sign with a white border. It shows a Toll Pass logo on a horizontal white rectangle above the word "ONLY" in black on a horizontal white rectangle. A note states: "The pictograph for the toll facility's adopted ETC system shall be used." A square yellow beacon is shown mounted on each top corner of the sign, with the note: "Optional flashing yellow beacons that are separated from any lane-use control signals for the lane. See Section 2F-16. The ETC pictographs that are shown are only examples."
