M1-10 is shown as a square blue sign with a white border and legend. It is shown with five white five-point stars in a five-point star pattern above the words "EISENHOWER INTERSTATE SYSTEM" in a Highway Gothic typeface on three lines.
The M1-10a is shown as the same sign but with the words in a serif typeface instead of Highway Gothic.
