This figure shows examples of mainline toll plaza approach and canopy signing.

The first example is labeled "A - All Toll Plaza Lanes Attended (No Automatic or Electronic Collection Equipment)." It shows one direction of a vertical highway depicted with two lanes separated by a broken white line, with the travel direction from the bottom to the top of the figure. At the top of the figure, the two lanes are shown widening to five lanes separated by solid white lines, with a horizontal black bar depicting a toll plaza spanning the five lanes.
