Figure 3B-26. Yield Ahead Triangle Symbols
This figure illustrates two Yield Ahead triangle symbols. They are white, open outline isosceles triangles pointing toward approaching traffic.
The first example is labeled "A - Posted or Statutory Speed Limit of 45 mph or greater." The length of the triangle is shown as a dimension of 20 ft, and the width is shown as a dimension of 6 ft. The width of the line used for the top of the triangle is shown as a dimension of 36 inches, and the width of the line for the sides is shown as a dimension of 8 inches.
The second example is labeled "B - Posted or Statutory Speed Limit of less than 45 mph." The length of the triangle is shown as a dimension of 13 ft, and the width is shown as a dimension of 6 ft. The width of the line used for the top of the triangle is shown as a dimension of 30 inches, and the width of the line for the sides is shown as a dimension of 8 inches.
